Simple Kapadia, a costume designer & an Indian bollywood actress was suffering from cancer for 3 years, died on 10th November in a local hospital in Andheri, Mumbai. Simple Kapadia was younger sister of Dimple Kapadia by one and half years and was 50 years old at the time of death. She born on 15 August 1958.
Simple Kapadia was a 1970s bollywood actress. She made her acting debut in Anurodh (1977) opposite her brother-in-law, Rajesh Khanna.
Later she acted in many hindi films like Hum Rahe Na Hum, Dulha Bikta Hai, Naseeb, Shakka, Lootmaar, Man Pasand, Ahsaas, Rehguzar, Chakravuyha and Pyar Ke Do Pal, Tumhare Bina, Jeevan Dhaara, Zamane Ko Dikhana Hai. She quit acting in 1986.
Simple Kapadia returned to Bollywood as a dress designer after quiting acting in 1986. She was for a dress designer Dimple Kapadia. In 1994 a well known movie of Dimple Kapadia named as Rudaali was released, Simple was the costume designer for the film Rudaali and won the National Award for it.
In 1986 Pyaar Ke Do Pal was hit movie, director by Rajiv Mehra and star-cast was Bindu as Paro, Mithun Chakraborty as Ashok Choudhary Krishan Dhawan as Geeta’s dad, Jagdeep as Scout Master, Jayapradha as Geeta Choudhary and role of Rajni Thakur was played Simple Kapadia.
